I took my 2005 Chevy Aveo to Oceanworks on the recommendation of a mechanic friend who told me they were honest and did good work. Chris, the Oceanworks manager, gave me clear-minded advice on the needed repair (replace a broken tensioner pulley for the serpentine belt). He was easy to communicate with and personable throughout. Oceanworks completed the repair on time—indeed, Chris called me twice in the process to keep me informed as to progress. Oceanworks also did a general diagnostic of the vehicle, recommending three additional repairs (relatively minor) “to avoid future surprises.” He put these into a hierarchy of importance—and even told me which one might be deferred if need be. I appreciated the way he handled this, no fast talk, and all made clear in language a non-mechanic (me!) could follow. At what seemed to me a reasonable price. Come the need, I’d certainly use Oceanworks again!
