My vehicle broke down, on I-80 near Berkeley. My insurance gave me a few automotive repair numbers to call to have my vehicle towed there. I was very fortunate to have contacted Oceanworks ll. They were very professional and courteous and knew I was from out of town, so they quickly diagnosed the problem and went to work. They ordered the parts and completed the work by 3:45, even though they only had it since 11:00. It was a busy Friday and they already had a full plate, but they went the extra mile to get my vehicle fixed. I think they are a great place with skilled mechanics and truly care for the customer. I was referred to the shop by a friend and am now grateful to her for sending me here. They took a no-nonsense approach to my concerns and were willing to talk through repairs that were needed now as well as those that could safely be deferred. I appreciate the personal customer service and the knowledge they have regarding Subaru's. I feel like I can trust them to give quality work at a fair price and not upsell unnecessary repairs. Overall I had a great experience with Oceanworks II! I was trying to decide whether it was worth replacing the transmission on my 2002 Subaru. Oceanworks did a thorough inspection and gave me a summary of what overall shape the car was in, thus allowing me to make an informed decision, which was very different from the vague diagnosis I had gotten from another mechanic. I would have appreciated more transparency as to what the final cost would be as I ended up with an unexpectedly high bill, but overall felt well taken care of and appreciated the attention to detail.

My 2006 Jeep Liberty had the “check engine” warning light on. Chris used a special treatment to get rid of carbon buildup in one cylinder. No more light, and the car runs smooth. Merci!
